Shah Alam lawmaker and Selangor delegate Khalid Samad told the delegates that “it is very important for us to know our enemies or foes so that we would not be cheated by these people claiming they want to be peaceful with us”.
“Do not even mention about forming a unity government or holding talks with Umno as both of the parties have very little in common.”
Khalid said this when debating a motion on the setting up of an independent Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate the Perak political crisis which they believed Umno played an important role.
“Such a commission is vital to unmask all the Umno and BN wrongdoings in Perak. They had seized the state government which was lawfully elected by the people,” he said, adding that he gave his full support to the motion.
Khalid also stressed that even though Umno embraces the same religion and race with PAS, they “did not care about us when they seized the lawful state government in Perak”.
“So, don’t you mention beautiful words like unity or making peace because this will only lead to a split in our cooperation with (Pakatan Rakyat),” he said.
“With this, I urge you all to give full support to this motion so that we could build a strong platform when they (Umno) are on a decline in its influence,” said Khalid, drawing strong cheers from the delegates.

Fear of success?
By Zedeck Siew (The Nut Graph)
PAS parliamentarian for Shah Alam Khalid Samad believed that the delegate's speeches demonstrated a fear that the party would go astray.
"It's understandable that the more senior leaders are concerned, because we are in uncharted waters," Khalid told The Nut Graph. He explained that governing as part of a coalition that contained parties with different ideologies was something new for the Islamic party.
However, Khalid believed that the delegates need not be unduly worried about PAS's identity. "In practice, we've done quite well, and we've remained true to our principles," he said.
Khalid was one of 54 delegates who ran for a post with the PAS central committee. Though he failed to secure a place among the 18 elected, Khalid expressed satisfaction with the party's election results — specifically, that the grass-roots expressed their disagreement with possible negotiation with the BN for a unity government.
"The election results are a clear picture of this. I think the leaders concerned had to make many categorical denials about any possibility about co-operation with Umno," Khalid said.
Khalid Samad Commenting on the place of the KPP, Khalid agreed with the view that the non-Muslim group should be elevated to the status of a full wing within PAS.
"If we are to remain true to our declared objectives of representing both Muslims and non-Muslims, then we should have non-Muslim [Malaysians] represented in the party. And, in that manner, ensure that their voice is heard within our organisation," Khalid said.
He believed that conversion to Islam should be up to individuals.
"What we can do is present the stand of Islam as accurately as possible, in terms of its systems, theology, and laws," Khalid said.
"If they wish to become Muslims, then they become Muslims. If they don't, then they should be still able to support us," he added.

PAS faithful still slam talk of unity talks
By Adib Zalkapli (The Malaysian Insider)
Shah Alam PAS chief Khalid Samad told delegates not to forget how Umno toppled the PAS-led Perak government in February.
“They rob us when we were the legitimate government. Do not stop from attacking them. In attacking them, we strengthen party unity and Pakatan Rakyat,” the Shah Alam MP.
“But if we keep saying beautiful words, like unity and union, then a split is inevitable,” he added.
He also slammed the muktamar secretariat for accepting sponsorship from Puncak Niaga.
“Please know who your friends and your enemies are, they are willing to pay for us today, to pay for our hotel rooms if necessary, but they are evil and they want to divide us,” added Khalid who lost the central working committee election yesterday.
He also told party members to get their priorities right and not to behave like Umno leaders.
“I want to touch on the motion from Youth. It sounds as if it came from Umno,” said Khalid.
Earlier the Youth representative, Sabki Yusof, in his speech criticised the move by the government to partly lift the 30 per cent Bumiputera equity rule and to abolish the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development.
“Of course we want to defend the 30 per cent Bumiputera equity, but the issue is too small compared to Umno’s cruelty,” said Khalid

im of the opinion it's more toward tganu unity govt. there's rumour ahmad MB will be booted out in aug09 and perhaps he needs back up from pas to make him mb.so the president wants pas to get head up on this cos i dont see any sign at federal bn level.it's only pas yg ingin bermadu tp ingat, abis madu sepah di buang.i will only agree if najib give us as pm, menteri pertahanan and ketua polis negara, so before they thrash us, we will thrash them.if i live and die 1o times, i dont think najib or any gerombolan umno will agree to this.if you have the time, pls list top 10 dosa2 besar umno kpd melayu and pas especially to remind those that have not even shattered one drop of their blood on this perjuangan.so far,it's only limited to street or most of the times office/ceramah...
May Allah save pas and umat islam.im going to tanah suci next couple of days, and i will doa for you and erdogan brothers and all pas leadership. we r open people n not like umno.TG Nik Aziz taught us over the yrs to be tak berdendam pd siapa.drop the unity govt rubbish and we move ahead as if nothing happens...jika betul2 umno utk melayu, mana dia biasiswa utk pelajar2 melayu? kenapa rumah setinggan melayu di halau macam halau beruk? mana pembelaan kpd bekas2 polis dan askar yg berjuang matian utk pertahankan negara dr komunis?
Diharapkan pas pusat mantau punca pendapatan utk muktamar akan datang.lebih baik kita minum air botol dan nasi bungkus dari ditaja puncak niaga?bukankah taukenya yg merampas air, hak rakyat dgn bantuan Be eNd, of course???
Get ur facts right, otherwise don comment.
tak payah pjg cerita..sampaikan saja pesanan ahli pas (groundfighter) ini..mana2 pemimpin pas minat pd umno, keluar saja pas dan join umno...lepas tu buleh berunding sampai pagi...harap dpt lah jawatan2 penting agar dpt membela ugama, bangsa dan negara.apakah hukum hudud bagi penzina dan pembunuh org?jika tidak, lebih baik guna masa utk mengatur strategi utk menawan tgganu yg terlepas pd umno sejak 2 pr yg lalu.muhasabah kenapa org trengganu reject kepimpinan pas di sana yg bukan calang2 orgnya...saya mengusulkan agar next election, ust nasa bertanding di tganu lwn yb idris jusoh ke...itu pun kalu masih belum join umno...kalu dah join umno, jom lwn org pas lah pula di mana2 kawasan selamat...rasa dah tak sesuai benor berlwn di kelantan krn menyanggah tok guru...byk lagi kerja lebih penting yg tok guru perlu buat di kelantan.
Teruskan dengan cara ini.
it's people like yb khalid that shines thru like a beacon in the night for people like me.
"pas for all"? i see it in the likes of yb khalid. not hadi, not nasha, not all those "holier-than-thou" ulamas.
the rest of u wanna go hardline?? you wont get my vote ge13, that's for sure!!!
*** and please, have nothing to do with umno. nothing. not even phone calls. the only contact i want of you to have with damn umno is to 'kubur'kan mereka.

UG thing is a total crap & utterly niferious to TGNA & us all. Those who against you on this UG matter, are also against our TGNA who is a true conscience figure in PAS. You somehow shone as a sensible yet sincere leader. Keep it going YB!
... sorry typo, but i know u got my point..TQ
Kepada Chinese2 dalam ni...anda sanggup tak tlg org Islam memulakan perniagaan ke,bantu mereka utk meneruskan hidup menggunakan duit kamu sendiri..sedangkan kamu hanya mementingkan kaum kamu sendiri...bila kerajaan tolong org melayu dan islam kamu marah..apahal...
Mengapakah perlu dibawa isu perkauman setiap kali kita berbincang?
WW.
kpd "anonymous June 9, 2009 1:00 PM"...
i think "islam melayu June 9, 2009 1:00 PM" already answer your concerns beautifully.
i personally will assist. my own money? where got free lunch? i will
let you work FOR or WITH me. have to work. no free lunch.
i choose workers who are hardworking and smart; not lying down waiting for hand-outs because you belong to a certain race. i dont prefer a chinese over a malay or an indian or any race.
**RACE IS IRRELEVANT !!! GET IT??!!
wake up!!
think think think, why after 50 years under corrupt umno, malays still left behind? i have two hands and two legs and one brain. you also same lah brother/sister. why should you be any different from me???
i will help poor kampung pakciks and makciks anytime. but i see an
umnoputra i will **** him everytime! leeches!
these umno ***** just using "ketuanan melayu" issue to grab and grab and grab all YOUR money, malay money.
we chinese used to it after 50 years. umno curi from melayu, cina,
india dll... cina dah biasa dah...
sampai masa saudara/saudari buka mata dan keluar dari kepompong "bangsa" or ketuanan this and ketuanan that.
of course malays and pribumis are SPECIAL in malaysia. who the ****
deny that?? but what is it that make you so special? because you are "entitled" to special privileges? those are crutches, those should not be something you should be proud of. but that is the sad fact.
get rid of umno. let well-meaning malays lead the country. i mean people like zaid ibrahim, khalid samad, khalid ibrahim..let them rule the country.
without kit siang or karpal, i am ok. but please NO NO NO NO NO NEVER
NEVER UMNO!!

"bila kerajaan tolong org melayu dan islam kamu marah..apahal..."
zaman tunku, umno memang tolong melayu, secara ikhlas.
lepas tu.... down down down!!!
melayu sometimes too nostalgic...ingat felda...ingat tabung haji...what is there to be nostalgic about?? they were the government, it's their JOB to help poor people (malays).
50 years = malaysia generated beratus-ratus BILION when we found oil... that's x00,000,000,000. patutnya boleh tolong berjuta-juta melayu, berulang-ulang kali. tapi hakikatnya, saudara/saudari tengok sendiri lah... saya tak payah cakap banyak.
how come malays still left behind? simple, umno yells "cina bully ekonomi melayu". then melayu angry, melayu takut...melayu fokus kat cina, melayu tak fokus kat umnoputra...itulah masa umnoputra ni curi curi curi....rogol rogol rogol...lepas curi dan rogol, umnoputra (dan that ***** taib in sarawak) tipu melayu lagi, kata "cina curi lu orang punya duit".
WHAT THE ****???!!!!
chinese cari their own makan. then have to feed umnoputra somemore. but umnoputra greedy wanted somemore, so they curi from melayu also lah. mana ada kira kaum pasal duit. duit ringgit sama mana-mana di malaysia. all these happened after zaman tunku....
after malaysia found MINYAK$$$$$.
my advice to saudara/saudari, very simple :-
i) learn about economy, figures. because figures dont lie. dont always talk kaum ni kaum tu.... umno want you to be ignorant, umno want you to hate other races, umno want you to be blur blur. if you are good in economy, then you see penyelewengan pkfz (itu BERBILION-BILION, bukan juta-juta. berapa ribuan pakcik/makcik/anak-muda yang dapat ditolong dgn duit sebini banyak?? tapi sekarang? habis. pasal apa? pasal kamu semua tak kritik kerajaan pasal ni. u rang kritik ikut emosi. bezanya, cina kritik pakai fakta. bila u ada dengar cina cakap ketuanan ni ketuanan tu? pangkat ketuanan tidak boleh memenuhkah perut yang lapar).
ii) get rid of umno - 4ever. no nostalgia. umno dulu lain. umno sekarang lain. biar pas atau pkr jadi kerajaan pusat kalau u takut dap. i ok dgn sesiapa pun asal JANGAN UMNO!! pas nak implement hudud i pun ok. no problem.

that's unity govt in this context.
if there is to be a unity govt, pas+pkr+dap IS a unity govt. i look back to those multi-racial composition in all the ceramahs pre- and post-march8th. i sensed a warm feel of being a malaysian standing side by side with my malay and indians and other fellow malaysians. NEVER in my life. never had it so good.
but now...
i agree with zam June 10, 2009 2:33 PM. who's confusing whom? he brot up the issue, so let him explain. u know who i mean. him and his gang.
a certain pas exco in selangor i am wary about. i think he is very very very "ambitious". i heard he's a former umno member or a former machai of that muhd muhd taib. him, u gotta be careful with him.
and my answer to anon June 10, 2009 4:24 PM above, it is POLITICS. certainly not dakwah. there are millions and billions to be made. unless the iman of that person is unshakeable ala tok guru aziz, that person will sure be salivating. he would be thinking..." i have fought for the party so long, what have i got? no big money, no big post, merely small money and small post...i want MORE...". that's when the idea of "unity govt" in the current context becomes an almost-perfect excuse to "become united".
i mean...united what??? one race unite or all malaysians unite? political parties cannot unite. the can only co-operate in return for SOMETHING$$$$. sigh...this is classic umno.
i suppose you can take someone out of corrupt-umno but you can't take the corrupt-umno out of anyone...and this is sad.

Wahai pendokong PAS dalam ni...Ekonomi org Islam perlu didokong oleh org Islam itu sendiri..Anda selalu mengutarakan keadilan...cuba buka mata keadaan org ISlam sekarang...cuba lihat sementara apakah bantuan yg diberi org org bukan Islam dalam memajukan org Islam..xpun membantu org ISlam...Walhal mereka telah mempunyai rangkaian mereka sendiri yg kuat...Cuba lihat dewan perniagaan cina, kompani cina..mana org Islam...Tetapi bila org melayu yg dapat projek kerajaan dituduh pula kronila...abis tu x tgk org bukan ISlam?Tolongla...perjuangan agama perlu tapi jgn bertindak bodoh hingga buta lihat apa yg berlaku diluar sana.
i) memang cina ada rangkaian niaga yang luas. itu pasal dia orang tak ada banyak 'rintangan' atau pantang ini pantang itu. niaga tak kenal kaum atau agama. niaga hanya kenal angka2, risiko, hard-working, tak ambil jalan short-cut, dan sebagainya. ini pasal kaum sama, agama sama, abang adik dan sebagainya adalah di LUAR bidang niaga. itu kami panggil friendship atau family. niaga is niaga. that's for most cina. ingat, bukan pasal u malay atau u chinese atau u indian atau apa apa pun.
ii) nama dewan perniagaaan cina - that's why no malays or indians lah. same with malay chamber of commerce and indian chamber of commerce - where got chinese? ok...? clear...? ok.
iii) u said when "melayu" dapat kontrak govt, "dituduh" kroni... yes, i also tuduh itu kroni bila itu melayu yang dahulu buat kerja macam lauyah, mutu macam tahi, delay sini delay sana, tapi dia kenal umno punya ketua bahagian, jadi semua beres, semua ok, semua belakang cerita. INI yang saya hentam kuat kuat. i want to ask, what about other melayu who are HONEST, HARDOWRKING, but no chance in govt contracts pasal dia orang tak kenal umno ketua bahagian?? THIS IS WHAT I ALSO HENTAM!! jangan fikir pesong. honest & hardworking malays should get MORE contracts. and they are MORE than those LAZY umno-friendly-contractors. anyway, why niaga have to use back-door cari politik punya kawan? ini niaga kah? ini i panggil tipu. these melayu are the real pengkhianat bangsa sendiri. how many young malays are still riding on kapcais on the road? or selling ramly burger by the roadside?? SIAPA KASI DIA ORANG CHANCE?? u minta umno-putra kasi sebahagian kontrak sama ini budak melayu, u ingat umno-putra sudikah? ms a**. that's why i say, in niaga, that means money, u sama kaum kah atau tidak, tak ada kena mengena langsung. wake up lah. by the way, if you are really smart and hardworking, and if you just wait and wait for gomen contracts, in malaysia it is not enough. where got so much contract to give. let's say melayu sapu 100% gomen contracts, sooner or later also not enough. then WHAT???
gomen contracts dont create value. it's left pocket to right pocket. no add value to malaysia economy growth. if you goreng pisang and sell to thailand, then u make some thailand money for our country. if gomen terpaksa cari alasan nak bina ini bina itu pasal nak "jaga contractor tempatan", lama kelamaan ini akan menjadikan kontraktor tempatan jadi katak di bawah tempurung. menangis bila tak ada lagi kotrack gomen. i say, why nangis? ini memang reality in business. i say, stop crying and go out and find business somewhere else lah. why use "oi...mesti jaga kaum kita, pasal kaum lain tak jaga kita...boohoohoo...aduhai...malangnya nasib bangsa saya....boohoohoo..."
i want to ask sampai bila we as malays/chinese/indians/etc malaysians want to grab grab grab everything for their own race only?
sigh....
